My fat fingers have enough trouble with a computer keyboard. Fasteners that small? Nope. Not gonna happen!  :nw:

Ugh, let's try this again.  This time I'm replacing both the camera cable and the gimbal cable.

Back together.  I have a video feed again.  The gimbal is being recognized and seems to do what it's supposed to do.  For whatever reason though, I can't do the auto calibration.  I will have to get it in the air tomorrow and see what happens.

I couldn't get it to calibrate again so I said F it and flew it anyway.  No issues other than the normal drift I've always had.  Landed it and tried calibration and it was a success.  I will probably recalibrate all of the sensors but it seems good now.

I had it out this morning for sunrise.  We got a couple inches of snow last night.  It was supposed to be partially clear and call this morning. I run out, drive down the road to get a shot I've been wanting.  I'm there a little early so I am in the air waiting for the sun to come over the mountain.  Had to land and swap batteries.  Get back up and the clouds rolled in literally minutes before the sun peeked over which is what I was waiting for... First light to light up the top of the trees in bright orange.  I landed, came home (literally a minute drive) and walked in the house.  I looked outside the window and it's snowing like hell.  Half hour later the suns out and it's beautiful.  Windy the rest of the day.  I grabbed some shots so I will check them out later after the gym.

you are brave for busting that thing open in the first place.

Nice job to get it going again.

Thanks for visiting the Cafe, come back often.  There's always something new!

It was either that or it was going in the trash.  It's not worth sending it out for repair.  It probably would have cost 50% of what a new one would cost.

I watched a few videos first.  I still wasn't prepared for the size of the parts and how clumsy it is working with the gimbal.  And all of the external screws that hold the shell together are allen key.  I imagine it's difficult to manufacturer such small screws but they were all what seems half way between standard and metric.  Some fit ok and some felt like they were stripping.  Super frustrating.

Ok.  Here's a few.  I'm sure Tapatalk will jack them all up.

Yes sir.  Can see it from my front door.  Two miles away.

At least you have snow. My son and I were going to go skiing for the first time this year on Saturday. Sounds like it's going to be pouring rain here. Bummer.

The snow is all but melted from the inch or two we got them other night.  We had a cold snap back around Thanksgiving and the ski resorts all jumped the gun and started making snow.  They have to continuously keep making it because of the warm temps and rain.

It was in the 50s here today.  Supposed to be in the 60s the next two days.  Almost 70 on Sunday.  With rain ofcourse.  I am going up to Old Forge in the Adirondacks on Wednesday.  I'm not sure how much snow they're going to have and I dont know if the lakes will be frozen.
