Not drone related but not deserving of its own thread either.  This one is for you, Tom.  This is the automotive equivalent of gender identity.  This xB identifies as a Mack truck.  Stacks, air cleaner, roof deflector... You can't see it but it even a grille made to replicated a big rig front end.

Just doesn't have the same wow factor though.

Mike how do you download these off my drone?

The show up as HTML on the card.

I think that's a pano.  They usually have their own folder.  I haven't done one since I've gotten the drone.  I remember it being confusing because it was stitched using the go4 app and then somehow just appeared on my phone.  Back when I was using that feature I really was just stumbling around and accidentally getting results without knowing how.

Edit - I think DJI forces you in to using skypixel for that final image.  If you can locate the original files then you can probably use a different program to stitch them.  I see a lot of mention of PTGui but I have no experience with it.

Yeah that seems to be what I am seeing too.   It sure is cool to watch it take a 360 photo.   Just hit it and it rolls.

Its interesting for sure.

I got mine out for a few minutes today.  It was pretty windy but I wasn't planning on going far.  Just wanted a look over the area since we are starting to see color.

There's somewhere I want to fly tomorrow but it's within 3 miles of the airport.  I wanted to fly from my parents house but that's 4 miles from the airport.  I'm mostly worried that I physically won't be able to and that if I am, I may not be able to get it back to me because of all of the geofencing nonsense.

I have flown in an area like that, the geofence stuff looked like it was about to take my drone away but I hammered the throttle backwards and it came under control again.  I think you could hit the home button and you'd be fine.

Depends on what class the airspace is too.   I was up in a similar area and it wouldn't let me go forward past the geo fence.   Controls just stopped.

It would be just over a mile each way to get to where I want to fly with a lot of places to lose the drone in between.  I am on old software though so I don't have nearly the restrictions of others.  This would be the only type of situation where hacking would do me any good I think.  I might take it up but keep it close and see how it acts.

Alright guys, need some opinions.

I’m really itching to pick up a drone. I’ve been hunting around and making call to get some prices.

Really, I have come down to three options.

Buy a used Mavic Pro ~$800-$1000 with some decent extras

Buy a Zoom2 ~$1600 and I have to buy some stuff on top of that like spare batteries, props, etc.

Buy a Pro2 ~$2100 and same extras will be needed as the Zoom2.

There is a massive gap between the Pro and Pro2 and I know there are some great improvements with the sensor, etc on the 2. But having a hard time justifying the cost.

M2P all the way for me.  My Mavic Pro has been good to me but I want that better camera so bad.  And extra features like time lapse.

If you get the M1P and then decide you really want the better camera and stuff, it will cost you more in the long run to upgrade.

The fly more combo will get you in the air and accomplish most of what you probably want to do.  Then just buy filters as time, money and need allow.

I don't know how it works being in Canada but that's what I would buy.  There are used and refurbished M2Ps out there as well.

Also, I know it's not foldable and as easy to transport in a backpack, but consider a Phantom 4 Pro if you can find one.  The cameras are comparable to the Mavic 2 Pro.

Jason can give you his since he doesn't use it.
