Back in an F150
« on: October 22, 2017, 12:26:50 AM »
My new rig.   Not much is needed.   Weather Techs for interior.   Getting spray in and a bed cover.

This is a family friend who is the GM.   Worked me a deal on this truck and my Jeep trade.

The technology in this truck is amazing.

Ahh, things are getting back to normal.

Nice truck!

Now if Tom would just get rid of that Toyota...

Sorry to report this, but that's not likely to happen any time soon. The Taco now has 58,000 miles in it and went back to the dealer exactly once for warranty service. (Passenger side door didn't close perfectly every time.) Other than that, it's been stellar. I guess I[km just going to have to keep it.

Oh, and the Toaster just turned 94,000 miles and is also running like a champ. So much for that legendary Toyota reliability.

Welcome back! I knew you would eventually find your way!

Don't be too hard on Tom, at least he isn't looking at the new Taco's. I just had a die-hard Toyota buddy buy a new one and took it back within a week. He's now in a F-150 with the 2.7 Eco and much happier.

Having the truck for only 2 days, I didn't drive it much, mostly sat in driveway to figure out all the systems and applications.  This sucker is impressive.  I did run down the road for lunch today, with the new 10 speed and the 3.5 EcoBoost, never saw this thing shift out of 10th going 75-80 on the highty.    BTW, it will get up and go.

Ordered WeatherTechs for it yesterday, looking to get a Line-X sprayed in and then getting a Peragon tonneau cover.

I will say that I do have some dealer induced swirls on the piano black parts of the doors.   Is there a fix for that?

Will try to get a pic i the sun tomorrow.  The truck does need a proper detail.   Clay, polish and I would like to put Optimum coating on it.

Nice truck! I am a little surprised that it isn't a King Ranch though.

I can understand why and I've only had mine 7 months.

We should cut him some slack that was at the hell on earth place before the current place.

If you haven't already, I 'd suggest taking a hard look at the backflip revolver.  I put one on my new truck, and it is the best tonneau I have ever had.  Love it.    Got a great price through Real Truck rep on F150online.
