New pads.
« on: November 13, 2017, 11:30:35 PM »
Had to break down and buy new pads.

Went with Buff n Coat.   Gonna try these out.   Have to learn colors again.    Picked up the new version of Opt Hyper Polish and their new paint prep..,.which I am sure is 50/50.

I stopped the IPA some time back as the coating did not apply as well when using a paint prep product.

I tried Eraser and did not care for it.  I tried Griots Garage Pre Wax cleaner and was sold.  The coating goes on much easier than IPA.

I have not tried the OPT paint prep as I have a bunch of Pre wax cleaner still.

You might find the coating goes on easier than trying a 30% to 50% dilution of 91% IPA.

I will say I am shocked you went back to OPT coating.  Some time back you were not real happy with it on the jeep.

Just watch your application method with Gloss coat and the curing and you should be happy with it.

Good info. I was super Happy with Opti-Coat V2....I did like the pro version too when i could guy it  I figured I would give this a go on our new cars.  I will do the F150 first then do the Acura.

I will give you my .02 on the Paint Prep.  I accidently bought 3 bottles.   Cart issue.
