Maybe they will buy a new car now that will need a detail and you won't have to wait a year or two.  I think your upcoming move may have derailed that detail project anyway.

I do go car shopping with her today though. She’s looking at a few newer Mercedes and BMW SUVs

A "proper" LSP would have caused that tree to slide right off with minimal damage. And some of the new ceramic coatings include a warranty for scratches. Yea, right. Sad way to go.

I think we found one for her. I didn't take pics though, but it is a 2006 ML 350. Basically the exact same vehicle only one body style newer and in Silver.

I have her convinced to at least look at a 2008 BMW X5 I found, but she likes the Merc's.

Find the one good panel that might be left on the wrecked vehicle and tell her it's no coincidence that you experimented with the ceramic coating on ONLY that panel.  It will help convince her for the next one.
