stoner carpet cleaner alternative
« on: May 27, 2016, 06:36:00 PM »
what are some cheaper alternatives to stoner carpet cleaner? Need something that drys fast and isn't very wet for ford 04-2010 cloth interiors. They stain with a wet hand, APC and the like is no good on them. I like stoners just either have to order a case at $50 or order a few cans and have to pay $12-14 in shipping. Yo buddy cheap!

I don't know if it helps but autogeek has it for 5.99 per can or 5.00 each for 3+ cans.  Not sure on shipping.  Didn't feel like going through the checkout but if you order from them on amazon (Palm Beach Motoring Accesories) its still 5.99 a can and 4.95 for shipping.

I've had pretty good luck with Tuff Stuff multi=purpose foam cleaner. And I had the dreaded interior fabric you have. What a PITA!

Folex for sure.

Get it at Lowes (Lets build something together, #48) or HD.

I think he's looking for a dryer alternative.  Using anything wet seems to leave a "stain" behind.

Folex isn't dry though.  Aleast not in the way I'm thinking.  It's the consistency of water which I would think would also leave stains.  Maybe im crazy.

Folex doesn't attract dirt back to the clean spot.

I don't really know what causes it.  You could probably use bottled water and it would stain the fabric.  That's how my moms Escape is.  She's always complaining about it.

Well damn. That would explain it. It seemed offhand that maybe D107("Citrus Power Cleaner Plus" replaced it, but that's a real shame -- APC+ was one of my top 3 favorite products (with D170 HyperDressing still having a grape-scented 1st place on my list).

What do you you all use these days for an APC+ replacement? Switched to purpose-built products rather than an all-purpose solution?

I used to use APC+ in a carpet cleaner.  I still have a little bit left actually.  But generally I use Poorboys World carpet and upholstery cleaner.  I love the pineapple scent to it and it does a good job.

Here’s what I recently been using and it has worked really well for cleaning carpets.
