Justin, my Optimum products didn't do so well over the winter and summer I think they are toast.

What the heck did you do to them ?

It gets a lot colder up in Chicago, my garage hung just above freezing most of this past winter.

Did you try putting the bottles in a container of boiling water to heat them up before shaking them ?
- I do this just about every time I do a detail.  Makes mixing and keeping them mixed over the detail session a lot easier.

They all gummed up...looks like nasty cottage cheese and lots of liquid separation.

I have never done the boil technique.   Not sure I follow the procedure you mention.

So I have a pot of boiling water....i put a container in that then the product?   For how long?

Thanks for visiting the Cafe, come back often.  There's always something new!

Sounds like you just drop the bottle of product straight in the water.   Is this a one time thing to freshen a bottle up for the season?   Or I assume do it each time you are using it in the cold months?

I've had Poli-seal lump up on me.   Lots of shaking returned it to normal working order.   Looked bad at first though.

Use a container slightly larger than the bottle of product, fill it half way with water just off the boil and submerse the bottle of product in it.
- I use empty Clorox pop up wipe containers for round quart bottles.

I keep a cheap T-Fal electric kettle in the garage now.

Here is the write up I did some time ago on Poorboys about it.

I have a few shape containers from over the years in the garage.
- A square plastic one I have will hold 3 bottles, but takes more than the t-fal to fill.
