2015 Mustang GT
« on: May 21, 2015, 02:42:53 PM »
It has been some time since I have been on the board.  I recently took delivery of the 2015 Mustang my wife and I ordered in January.  I was amazed how easy it was to detail a new car without all kinds of crap embedded in the paint.  The wheels are a pain in the but to clean.  I did a simple detail.

1.  Handwash
2.  Tape off
3.  Claybar with Megs medium
4.  SSR1 with an orange pad
5.  Colonite 845
6.  Hyperdressing mixed 1 to 1 for tires and plastic parts

On the showroom
floor

Lots to tape off

Pretty clean claybar

Finished and sitting in the garage

Sitting in the sunlight at a local Mustang car show.

Did they change the silver?   I never care for silver but man that's sharp.   It almost looks like a satin silver but it still has gloss to it.   How is that even possible?  These new mustangs have really grown on me.   I didn't like sitting in them though.   Felt very different from my 11.

Sweet ride! I think that color really suits the car.

Welcome back.  Nice Mustang.  I love that color.

Any plans for mods yet?

The silver is Ingot Silver Metallic.  Ford has been using it since 2010.

There is a lot more room in the 2015.  My fat ass barely fits in my 2014 and I have plenty of room in the 2015.    I looked at them pretty hard before pulling the trigger on the Fusion.

The silver just looks different.   Maybe it's the body lines or the photography/lighting.

I don't know what it was about the 15 that I didnt like when sitting in it.   I felt more at home in my 11.  More comfortable.   I'm no small guy myself.   It's possible it was just different and over time it would grow on me.

Mods are on hold, as I got laid off a week ago.  Finding a job has been priority number one.

I think the tinted windows bring it together.  It is ingot silver.

Good luck finding a job quickly.  You still in OKC?   What are you looking for job wise?
