Well son of a... you’re right, I did.  Haha.  On that kite, I think the beat selling flag this Memorial Day is probs lay the F You Biden flag.  A lot of people have them on their flag pole right under the American flag and on their trucks.

I found out that the manufacturer for Nano Cotex was actually local and a super nice owner. I heard a rumour that he was closing up shop so I had to pay him a visit.

With the cost and red tape to get isopropyl alcohol, he has decided to pack up and move his manufacturing to Texas.

I got a bunch of product for pretty much nothing and will be trying it out over the coming weeks.

I’m liking a few things from Nano Coatex so far.

The “Platinum Sealant” is extremely easy to apply and still beads after a few washes.

The Rim and brake cleaner is really good and seems to make short work of brake dust.

I also used the iron remover when prepping the ST paint. Doesn’t stink like some others I’ve used, but seems to be very effective.

Next up is their window coating. I hope to try it tomorrow.

Tom may have to look in to that iron remover since his last one isn’t allowed in the house anymore.

I'll have to run it by the Chief of Nasty Smelly Chemicals for her approval.  :funny:

It’s been a minute or two since I posted about the truck!

Spring has sprung and some little stuff is getting done.

After nearly 4 years my KO2’s are to a point where I need to replace them. I’m sure some other folks would run them a little longer, but I need tread depth for exploring this summer. I’m changing up the size a little, in hope of getting a little less weight, rolling resistance and cost reduction. I’m going from 305/65/18’s to 285/70/18’s. Near identical height, but 1 inch narrower. Also after a ton of calling and checking online, I’m going back to Ridge Grapplers. Can’t get the “new” Recon Grapplers in my rim size. This means that I’ll have to run dedicated winters to keep my insurance discount, but not a biggy. Tires are ordered and should be here next week.

Next up is a few things are getting a fresh powder coating. Tow hook mounts, winch fairlead plate mount and some under hood pipes are getting pulled and sent out to be done.

Also the clear film on the front is coming off to be re-done. It’s tired after 7 years.

Later this spring, the truck will go in for some PTM beds liner on the bottoms of the rockers and a couple areas that need some extra protection from the gravel roads.

The plan is still to move forward with the bigger turbos, manifolds and bigger fuel system, not sure exactly when, but should be early summer.

About time you spread the love back around to the truck!  My theory, you just needed a reason to buy new tires because it’s been a while and you needed to get your fix.

I think they deserve a proper, smokey send off.

Picked up a set of 90% plus tread Toyos for the 20’s once I get them back.

Pretty great deal for under a grand. Best price I could find new was $2500 for the set.

Picked up the wheels today. Man, these came out really nice. If you’re on my Instagram, you can see the steps he used to coat.

Intake and custom inlet tubes done in the same color. Also did the tow hook mounts, but they aren’t installed yet.
