The truck did great, very impressed with the power, even with the tow tune that is pretty much stock power levels.

I was overweight for sure, the trailer and cargo was over 9000 pounds.

1200kms round trip, it was a haul, lol.

The tuner turned up the power a bit and we noticed that the High Pressure Fuel Pump was struggling in some areas. I moved up to the 60% (over stock) pump and we are now good.

Basically at his point, I would have to put in bigger injectors and go to bigger turbo's to make any more power, so the truck is done in the power department. I might put it on the Dyno again sometime, but I'm assuming based on the data, that it's now around the 550whp mark. Not too shabby for a little veeee six, lol.

Got a guy I know looking for a new to him used truck.  He doesn't have any credit (neither good nor bad) so banks don't want to loan him what he can afford.  He found a dealer willing to work with him a little but they don't have great choices.  One of them is a 15 F150 3.5 Ecoboost.  The catch, it has 120,000 miles.  So my question to you, Ryan, or anyone with an educated opinion, how would you feel about buying one of these with that high of mileage?

I wouldn’t go for it unless it had very solid maintenance records.

Honestly, I personally wouldn't even do it then but I wasn't asking for myself so I figured it be worth a shot asking.

Thankfully that truck sold before he could consider looking at it in person.  I had the mileage wrong though, it was 136,000.  Haha

You never know, but he is probably better off. There seem to be quite a few out there now that have been able to rack up the miles without real issues.

Gonna piggy back your thread for a second.  I finally got around to buying a front valance for my truck since the previous owner removed it.  The catch is it doesn't come with hardware.  Any idea where I can get the right hardware?  In a YouTube video I saw that they're 8mm bolts.  It's the style pictured below.  I need 19 of them.  Not sure if all 19 are the same or if the ones that are completely boxes in are different.  Not sure how I'd get the nuts in to the inner ones that are boxed in.

For those boxed in ones, the sheet metal nut should slide right into the hole. If not, just open it up a bit and you should be good to go.

Ford would be the first place to get them from. I would check out Tasca.com as you could probably get them for a decent price.

Autozone or even HomeDepot usually has them, but probably more $$$.

As Tom says though, they usually clip over a outside edge or there is a slot to slide them in.

Here is a example of one the holds the skid plate on my frame

Good point. The big difference between automotive and hardware store fasteners is the finish specs. The hardware store stuff has virtually zero corrosion resistance whereas the automotive stuff is pretty stout. Then again, this is probably something you'll install and never remove.

I'm not too concerned about price.  I don't think, haha.  How much could they possibly be.  That said, I never did crawl under to look.  Looks like most of the clips are actually still there and they're in the metal bumper.  Duh, how else would they attach?  Not sure where my head is.  Looks like there might be a few missing but I pulled my truck too far forward in to the garage and couldnt check both sides.  I estimated 15/19 are there.  No bolts though, just those clip nuts.  So I will still need the bolts.  I will have to look at tasca.  Rather a diagram pointing to exactly what I need.
