Oh yeah, a 4wheel launch lights up all four tires (cold, but dry pavement)

Not without proof it doesn't.

With all the extra weight on the front, I ordered up some heavier springs for the coil-overs. It should get the ride height back up and firm up the ride to where it should be.

Ahhh, the aftermarket parts list just wasn't long enough.

Haha totally unnacceptable.

What were the big weight adders?  The winch for sure.  Is the motor that much heavier?

Winch is 67lbs
Winch mount plate 50lbs
Intercooler 22lbs over stock
Skid plates also added some weight, but not sure what they actually weigh

The mount plate and the intercooler surprise me.  All on the nose of the truck too.

The winch plate is a solid piece, has to be able to handle some serious load and force. The intercooler is massive and no plastic, means more weight.

I'm not looking forward to swapping the springs though. I may just pull the coil-overs and have a shop swap them.

If you don't have a proper spring compressor, don't mess with them yourself. Too much energy stored in those bad boys. If you were a little closer, I'd loan you my wall mount Branick spring compressor. I bought it off Craigslist a few years ago and was just going to use it for one job. Then I decided to keep it because it made the job so much easier and safer. Oh, and I stole it too.

The wall mounts are awesome to have. I was going to just rent if I do it myself. I'm hoping that if I backed off the pre-load adjuster that they wouldn't be too bad. But on the other hand, I had a buddy have a compressor snap (he WAY over tightened it) and  the spring literally stuck into his roof of his garage. He was pretty lucky it didn't head in his direction.

They are one of the few things that scare me. I've even had some close calls with small Sled and Quad shocks.

We'll see how brave I'm feel when they arrive. Not likely to happen next week, even though they would be great to have installed for the 1400mile round trip planned for the 16th to the 23rd.

Got some stuff done last night and tonight

Tonneau cover back on
BuiltRightIndustries racks back in
Crap mounted back on them
Fluid and fastener check
PTM F150 emblems swapped (I had the shop properly paint a set in Blue Flame)
Waste Gates installed (pic of my beautiful adaptor plate, lol

I hope to get my rear diff fluid changed and Spicer cover on tomorrow. We’ll see how it goes, I still have to finish rebuilding a sled motor and get it installed before I hit the road 6am on Saturday.

I like the emblem and that rear bumper looks good.

Nothing like trying to cram everything in last minute.

Too bad you did not have time to get the lights installed in the bumper, they might come in handy with the trip.

You got a lot done before hand.
