Measurements for custom fuel lines sent and are now being made (I really didn't want to mess with fuel by making my own).

Random parts all ordered up and should be here by Friday. Once I get the parts, the fun can really start.

In the meantime, I took Friday off to tackle the paint. Game plan is, ONR wash, clay mitt, Correction (need to test a few combos) and the Optimum Gloss coat. Since the truck has to go to the body shop afterwards, I don't have to mess with the passenger side box panel.

Other items planned for this weekend
Trans pan drop and filter change
Transfer case fluid change
Rear diff fluid and new diff cover
Rear diff sand and paint
Under hood clean up
Remote oil Filter mount location Mock-up
Good call on the fuel lines. Sounds like me with electrical stuff.  Ultimately the same fear I assume.  Fire

Yeah, I really don't want a fire to happen. Also, crappy lines or crappy connections often lead to fuel smell.

Funny thing is, I was in Tennessee visiting family once and grabbed a pair of someone's Crocs just to run outside for something.  Man, they are comfy.

People like Barry Manilow, that does not make it OK...

Yes I am comparing Barry Manilow to Crocs or Crocs to Barry Manilow; either way they are both wrong...
- What does Dead Pool call them... :wow:
You don't have to tell me.  You wont find any pictures of me wearing Crocs.

Being that I'm comfortable with my manhood - and the fact that I could give a rat's butt about what other people think of me at my age - I will admit to buying a pair to wear on the beach for the cruise Stella and I took this summer. They're stupid comfortable. So I'll proudly stand beside my friend from the Great White North on Crocs!

I've had these things for over a decade, they don't get wore often. They do come in handy sometimes though. I prefer them for boating over sandal's.

I love how this thread has derailed in to Crocs shaming and croc defending.

Just gonna leave these here.

Someone just has to make a pair out of actually crocodile skin so the Texas boys can join in on the fun.

I shouldn't cast stones. I have a pair of Birkenstock Arizona hippy sandals.
- They look like foot wear for someone that smells like patchouli and is unemployed.

Some OEM parts showed up today. I’ll get a few things done tomorrow and post some pics!

Only OEM parts I’m waiting on are a check valve for the 4x4 and a upgraded Raptor transmission cooler (10 row vs 5 row).

I was able to get the paint done today (well basically the sides).

ONR waterless wash
Meguiars regular clay with ONR clay lube
Spot hits with M101 and orange LC cutting pad on the PC (4” pad)
M205 with a white 5.5” LC pad on the Rupes
Optimum paint Prep
Optimum Gloss Coat

I gotta say the Gloss coat went on very easy. If it holds up, it’s gonna be a staple in the arsenal.

Paint was still in pretty good shape a door rub and a few scratches had to be dealt with, but nothing too bad. Clay only picked up some tar, probably thanks to the C.A.R. Bullet proof that went on last time.

After wash and clay

A couple of dings

Just for you Mike...

After

I have had very good luck.  My old 2006 F150, now doing duty as Dad's work truck, is still holding up nice on the roof and hood.  It sits outside all summer.
- It only goes in the garage when they leave for the winter and take Mom's CRV.
It was converted to a work truck and no matter how I try, dad will not break that habit of a bucket of dirty soap water with the mitt from the Reagan era to wash something off it.  He won't get rid of his towel that feel like 180 grit sand paper.  I think I saw one from the bicentennial in his garage last weekend.

Looking at your pictures, I see your syringe of the product is almost empty. Did you use the whole thing on just your truck? I'm on my third vehicle with mine (20cc kit) and it's still probably got two more vehicles left.

I think I see ~ 10cc in the syringe still.
The black plunger end is between 20cc & 30cc marks and with the syringe on it's side that 20cc area is~ half full. :dunno:
- I did not even need r & h for that... :wow:

I also seem to recall he did OPT Gloss Coat on the wife's vehicle some time back, if that was the same kit and my old brain is recalling the correct person...
Too many people are back to using OPT Gloss Coat.

Nah, lots left! Does anyone know if this is different from Opti-Coat 2.0? Sure seemed easier to apply.
Here is what's left

I can tell you that I didn't use as much as they did during this video!

What google said.
Gloss-Coat has greater gloss and slickness and up to 2 years durability - 2.0 was more durable but had less gloss. Gloss-Coat is easy to apply with fewer high spot issues, can be topped with wax or sealants, and 10 mls can cover up to 2 vehicles.
