The truck has been running really well. It put's a smile on my face every time I get in.

I'm going to have to load the "soft" winter tune as It's just making too much power for the slick roads and can be a handful if you're not paying attention.

I could cough up the cash for a full set of Deavers, so I ordered another set of Add-a-Leafs from ReadyLift (made by Deavers).

If I can sneak away for a bit this weekend, I would like to get them installed and crank up the front Coil-overs a bit to lift the whole truck about an inch.

Too much been going on with work and I haven’t gotten the rear leafs in just yet.

I have been messing around with a set of performance turbo inlet tubes that are supposed to let the turbos breath more and therefore make more power. The problem is that they are for the newer generation of engine and aren’t a direct swap out for my stock tubes.

I bought them cheap used, so I figured I would try them.

Passenger side done, but I’ll have to make a few changes to get the drivers side in. Fittings are different and the overall tube length is shorter by a couple inches.

Huge difference visually on those tubes.

How's it coming along?

I’ve been traveling every week, so not much getting done on the truck. I have one more trip then a couple weeks off for the holidays.

I hope it warms up a bit and I can do some data logging. The waste gate duty cycle has dropped 10%. So the passenger turbo is getting way more air.

So one is getting too much air.  Is it more than it can handle?  Taking air away from the other turbo?  Is the other turbo low then?

Both turbo's have separate tubes running to each. so the merger is post turbo, just before the air hits the intercooler.

With the AMS tube on the passenger side, the air (based on pressure drop) is actually more balanced now. Which is awesome. The passenger side turbo "having to work harder", is probably what led me to blow that turbo, once we started shooting for higher PSI.

The less restriction you can give the turbo on the inlet side, the more air it can "gulp". which in turn means it doesn't have to spin as fast to make the same PSI on the outlet side. This make a difference at altitude when I'm trying to get the most out of these turbo's.

It amazes me how much stuff can be monitored.  And how much you need to monitor for things to run smoothly.

I finally had some time to get the leafs put in the rear. I had to crank up the front coil-overs a little bit to offset the added rake. Truck sits 2" higher in the rear and 1.25" higher in the front. Should be good until I decide on lifting it or not. I think it's a pretty nice height now, but will be better if the rear leafs settle down a bit.

I went and hit a rough road and some speed bumps last night and no appreciable difference. These ReadyLift Add a Leafs seem “softer” than the ProComp ones. The rear of the truck actually moves when I climb in the box.

I was expecting worse, especially given I cranked the front springs too.

My trucks ride was really taking a toll on me so when I got new tires recently, I completely replaced the entire suspension.

I've dropped a few hints lately but I recently traded the GMC in for a 2018 F250 with the 6.7.   That's why I recently said I got new tires.  Also why I said I might have to get those fancy vent lights that Jason got.
