It's the weekend.  Get to work on the truck.  Haha

My DJI Osmo Mobile 2 gimbal showed up today.  100% dead battery. It's taking forever to charge.  You may have noticed but I'm super inpatient so maybe it seems longer than it is.  Haven't even been able to turn it on yet

Tailgate seal didn’t show up, but I have everything I need to get the fuel return system done. It’s the boys Birthday tomorrow, so I’m not too sure how much I’ll actually get done.

I may just take Monday off to get it all done.

I also need to get these on.

I’m looking forward to seeing how your Gimbal works out. You gonna fly tomorrow?

Those looks great!

Probably no flying tomorrow.  Wind and snow.  The new gimbal is a handheld unit for mobile phones so after some running around and then the gym, I will attempt to test the new gimbal.  Probably with some running around the yard with the dogs.  Thats pretty much all my Facebook is anyway. Haha

Happy Birthday to the little guy!  Oliver, I believe.  Enjoy the day with him.  My nephew got to be a lot of fun between 3 and 4.  I can best then crap out of him now and not worry about breaking him.  And I can teach him inappropriate things that he doesn't understand but still loves to repeat and then laugh as he gets sent him to his parents.

Side note, the gimbal is still charging.  So it has a 3 light charge indicator.  The charge progression is one blinking light, then two, then three, and then they remain lit (solid, no blinking).  I watched it progress for probably 8 hours yesterday.  It was blinking all three when I went to sleep.  I woke up and it was blinking one light again.  7 hours later, there flashing lights.  I swapped the charging block so we will see.

Last “major” upgrade done. Return fuel system installed and man what a pain to drop the fuel tank! I don’t want to do that again.

I missed this before.  Probably one of those times I saw it late at night and figured I'd revisit it in the morning.  That happens alot.

Looks great though.  Really gives it a custom look to go with the added performance you got going on under the hood.

Thanks guys, it adds a little something I think.

Dual catch can install complete. I had to wait for a fitting to tap into the passenger side intake tube.

It's so nice that you're doing all of this before you sell the (fully sorted) truck to me at a substantial loss. I can't wait!

Don't forget the 24% price reduction going from CAD to USD...

The least you could do is trade him the toaster.

Based on your recommendation, what the heck, I'll throw it in.

$60k US and it's yours. And YES, at that amount, I am taking a loss.

The truck has been running great. Tuner is turning up the boost and raising the rev limiter. If the Injectors play along, we should be getting close to 650hp at the Crank. That would mean I am at my goal of 500whp. Which is pretty great in my books.

Still need to dial in the Torque converter a bit and do some specific logging around shifting, but it's pretty close, so we want to dial in the power first.

We are making some great progress. Had a bit of a scare with a overboost situation the other night (tune wasn’t opening up the wastegates in time I think). It was -18c (0f) and I have it everything. It hit 26lbs of boost and held it till I had a miss-fire. So the truck was making over 500hp at 4500rpm. If it held to redline, that works to over 800hp at 6500rpm.

But, in warmer weather, the fuel would never support that and the fuel pump was struggling to keep up, lol.

More logging tonight to see if we can make a move to start dialing in the shifting and torque converter.

Almost 1500 miles on the new motor.
