All ready to pull out. I messed around today cleaning up tools and such.

I figured it will be easier to pull if I have the front end as low as possible,
So I dropped it on jack stands.

I will have a extra set of hands tomorrow to help and make sure it comes out as easy as possible and to help pop off the hood.

Motor is out. Not too bad overall. Only missed one  tranny housing bolt!

How long did it take before you figured out you were still bolted up? I hate it when I do that!

I found it pretty quick fortunately. I gave the motor a little tug and then checked the bell-housing. I could see one side didn't split. Quick look and one bolt (motor side) was still there. Popped it out and the motor came out pretty easy. I think it's gonna be fun to line up the tranny on the way back in, not much wiggle room. I can now see why the Dealer lifts the cab, lol.

Tracking info is saying Tuesday, so since it YRC (trucking company) I'll say Thursday. Hasn't been officially "cleared" of customs yet, but Thanksgiving likely threw a wrench into it for this week.

Good on you.  I would have been playing with that one bolt for 3 hours.

I have to ask, how hard was it to get the truck in there sideways ?
- the front wheel look just about where the cabinets were on the floor on the old wall dividing the bays.

It was about a 15 point turn,

So...my wife will probably murder me once she see's this months VISA bill, but oh well...

Ordered up a set of Performance manifolds for the new motor. The ported ones I have now, will have to be re-coated and I just don't have the time.

Also ordered up a set of Icon "Delta Joint" Upper Control Arms. Huge sale that I had to take advantage of. At least this was a planned purchase.  :uugly:

Later today I will go through the list of OEM parts I need for the swap. Actually doesn't look too bad, thank goodness.

New motor is scheduled for delivery on Wednesday!

Man, I wish I had unlimited funds.  Haha.  It's like the Canadian version of Jason, eh...

Kidding of course.

Yeah, this has gotten out of hand, even for me. Close to done though...for now. :nana:

Still cheaper than the new Raptor or Loaded Lariat I was looking at!

Break in motor oil, Dif fluids and Spicer Diff cover showed up today. I should be able to get the Control Arms tomorrow and the manifolds should show up by Friday.

Should be lot's to start with this weekend. Amongst all of this, I want to get the paint corrected and coated before the truck leaves the garage.

You mean as long as you do not include the cost of the used truck you are putting everything on...  :redneck:

Lol, I ran the numbers and the thought of a new truck was pretty nice. I know that I would just be needing to do stuff to the new one and almost nothing I have now would transfer over. It was a close decision in all honesty. I bought the truck new for $43k and have close to that spent on the mods.
