I have some friends that are a very bad influence. Buddy called me up and told me he found a wrecked Raptor and they were parting it out pretty cheap. I now have a Raptor Steering wheel and running boards. Really good deal, but unexpected.

He bought the rear shocks for stupid cheap, if they don't work on his '16, I'll put them on mine and give him my 2.0's as I know they'll fit.

Sad thing is that these parts will be in Winnipeg, no idea when I'll actually get them. :uugly:

20" sport wheels were removed from the truck today and should be sold tomorrow. With the other Raptor Parts bought, I figured it made more sense to go with the Raptor wheels year 'round.

I'll be using the cash for a upgraded intercooler and possibly intake depending on the final cost.

Pretty sharp kid for 15 months. pays close attention to everything. He even got a couple lug nuts started on his own.

20's sold. I should have asked more, a dozen solid people interested in 24 hours.

Pretty excited as this lets me order up a bigger intercooler and a couple of other goodies. I'm really hoping to get the truck on the dyno this month to get a baseline and see what improvements the mods get me.

I'm going to lock this post until the install.  I want results.  Damn tease...  Haha. Looking forward to the mods.

Trust me, I'm chomping at the bit too. Swapping the Turbos will take me a full weekend, gotta time it just right.

The little guy had a 3 hour nap today, so I was able to get the passenger side coated with C.A.R. BP coating.

Wash, paint check, M205 (really light pass), Iso wipedown and then 3 coats of the coating.

I beg your forgiveness in advance, no time to dress the trim, wheels or wheel wells.

At least you are making progress on it.

I am screwed for doing anything this summer.

The street in front of the house is getting completely tore up.
New storm and sanitary sewers, new water main and water lines to the b-box
- It is pretty much everything is coming out and being replaced.  Dust will be flying until mid NOV.

I am tossing the old pads in the trash, and putting everything in plastic for the year.
- I am going to be having serious withdrawal symptoms.

Wow, that isn't fun at all! Construction is a necessary evil though!

I'm hoping this weekend or the long weekend (ours is a week before memorial day), That I can get the hood, roof, tailgate, grill and bumper all done with Opti-coat 2.0. Then I can compare durability.

Full Race Intercooler and Drop-in filter ordered up.

Now to schedule some dyno time to get baseline numbers. Really hoping to get it done next week.

Getting closer to Dyno Day. Scheduled for the 30th.

MPT sent me a updated performance tune and a "stock" tune with the speed limiter removed. That way I can do a clear comparison between 100% stock and tune only.

Tunes already ordered up for the mods, so I just have to get them installed and ask Mike to get me a base tune to start the data logging.

This is gonna be fun!

Finally got around to finishing this! Took forever as I started it (routing the main power) last year.

The goal was to have a power point in the bed of the truck. could be for camping, powering a small 12v cooler or just to be able to charge a phone, whatever.

I went with a three pot mount and put in a standard 12v socket, dual 5v USB and voltmeter. I rigged up the the 5v and voltmeter to be only on when I turn on the switch. The 12v is hot all the time.

Power was routed through a Blue Sea 6 circuit fuse box.
Main power is a direct 8ga (fused) run from the power distribution box under the hood.

before install

Man, I hate drilling holes, but I figured worst case scenario that I can just put rubber grommets in the holes.
Holes sprayed with zinc-rich rust converter spray after drilled

Hole drilled in the back of the stake pocket and grommet put in to protect the wiring

Main power run into the Blue Sea box

Box is affixed with 3M two sided tape

Box mounted

Power connected to the main distribution box

Looks pretty good to me and out of the way. Almost OEM, lol.

Switch turned on

The bonus is with the Blue Sea box in the back, I now have easy power for reverse light or anything else I want power for at the back of the truck.

that turned out very nice, great job !!!

I am a junkie for those Blue Sea dual USB ports.  I keep 2 or 3 of them in the garage; just in case.
- Another mfgr has a 4.2 A dual, instead of the 2.1A.

I had 2 mounted in the center console in the '0 F150 and I put one in the Nav on the side of the center console.  I just feel like I need to have dedicated power USB ports.
- MKZ came with 2 USB ports in easy reach for the Mrs.
