In eight months when new turbos come out this whole plan is going to go out the window.  Haha.  I see at least one more set of turbos and at least two sets of wheels.  Three sets of tires, two of which you got a good deal on from some local kid.

I’m kidding.  Sort of.  It wouldn’t at all surprise me.  Haha

I really like the new Tremors.  I think I like them more in the F150s than I do the Superdutys.  When I was scouring the internet for a new truck I came across a couple 2022 F250 Tremors.  Same dealership.  I couldn’t find anything that differentiates then from each other but one was around $90k and the other was over $125k.

Speaking of Rams.  Did anyone catch what Ram has been doing with their tow numbers?  I know it’s happening all across their HD lineup.  Maybe their 1/2 tons as well.  Ram has a place to check your payload and tow rating on their website using your VIN.  Guys are going back and checking their numbers only to find them about 2500lbs less than when they purchased their truck.  The numbers aren’t listed anywhere directly on the truck like GM does so they don’t really have proof.  My neighbor has a 22 3500 tradesman long box with the gas motor.  The payload is where it should be but his tow rating is below 17k lbs now which seems low to me.

Bottom line is that if I want to get a new truck, I have to stop spending money on this one. So I am going to exercise some form of restraint, lol.

I actually did see that about the Rams. One thing I like about Ford is that they put the real, actually weighed truck number on the door for payload. It all goes out the window as soon as you add any accessories and weight to the truck, though.

Tow ratings have been on websites and in brochures across the board as far as I know.

There’s another option.  Hear me out.  Sell the wife’s Explorer and get her a nice, gently used, one owner, senior citizen driven Subaru.  Maybe an 2005-2009 model year.  This should allow you to afford more parts for your current truck and maybe pick up something else too.  The wife can live vicariously through you and your vehicles.  You can even let her sit in the new truck if she’s good.

Ram has a cheer that you can look up but there’s nothing g stopping them from updating the chart to reflect the change in tow numbers.  It’s a complicated chart with a lot of variables and not every option is covered.  The payload numbers have remained aolid.  It’s just the tow Jim era that have changed.

GM actually puts a sticker inside the door as well that shows all of their weights.  And ofcourse the registration shows the max gvw and the empty weight.

Here’s my sticker.

I like it, but it needs something else. Like maybe bigger turbos or something.  :funny:

It is a good looking truck.  Tires look great on it.  Shame it doesn’t have a little more power though.  Haha

That’s awesome. Very unlikely I take a full size vehicle on a lake but more power to you.  I know it happens all the time.  Not so much this year as it’s warm as hell.

I like these two shots.

It’s funny because I just opened Facebook before and saw your post about it being under exposed.  I saw a lot of potential in it when you posted it.  Great shot.
