BC Interior Down Hill Bike Trip
« on: August 26, 2014, 12:45:06 AM »
I had an absolute blast this weekend. First weekend back in BC and the boys had a bike trip planned for me. I went out with two of my main biking buddies to the Sunpeaks, BC Bike resort (ski hills in the winter). I had just bought a new bike, so it was a great opportunity to try it out.

We rode Saturday and Sunday, leaving at a decent hour since it is about a 7 hour drive back.

Stunning scenery on the road out there and back. We had to stop a few times to get some pics

Here's a shot I took of my two buddies on the way down of one of the "Pro" lines. It's a bit deceiving as it's about a 50 degree steep line straight down through the trees.

I'll get up some vids later on this week, I still need to set up my Mac Mini.

Dude... are you kidding me?  That is freakin beautiful!  I'd still be standing in at least one of those places.  I'm a scenery guy.  I don't know what it is but I could sit there for hours and just take a sight in.

The pictures really don't do it much justice at all. It was really nice and warm out too, so we just cruised with the windows down most of the time since you could only do 45mph most of the way.

The pictures never do it justice.  Knowing that makes them that much more impressive.  I'm jealous.  It makes me want to get out and explore this weekend.  Go on a hike or something.

Man, those DH bikes always get me...such long travel.   Those pics are amazing...I am with Tom, I would sit there for hours with a beer, crown and diet and my dog.    Oh yean I would ride some too.

Thanks for visiting the Cafe, come back often.  There's always something new!
