Quite possibly the nicest KR in the whole country. Certainly the most famous. I'm sure you'll find a good home for it JP.

I dunno guys, I am on the fence here to keep her or what.

I happen to be driving by a dealership today, stopped in and drove a 2014 F250 FX4.   It sure drives differently than my 06.   Much smoother, a lot more quiet too.

But got back in my KR and drove home.   Torn.   It's paid for, runs well.  Looks decent.  Dunno.   Lets see how I feel after pulling to Hot Springs next week.

Jason, that's how I felt looking at trucks two weeks ago and I'm still driving the old girl.

I sure would like one of the newer diesels but I really don't want the payment that goes with it.

I hear ya JP. You know everything about your current truck and would have to start modifying from scratch on a new one. And yes., many things are different. Some are better, some not.

On the other hand, when they get up there in mileage, no matter what you do, they're less reliable. Maybe drive her until the reliability thing becomes a big enough issue? Only you can make the call. Truth be told, most of us would love to be in your position.

I'd keep it.  With age has come the wisdom to be happy to have what I have and to not need what I want.  It helps being broke.  Haha.

There's always temptations, such as this.  This is part of the reason I don't look.  Haha.

There is a lot in to the KR.  A lot of time and money.  You would have to start over.  Look at that list and think about how many of those things you will miss until you can get them done again and how much it will cost you to have them all done again.  Think about everything the new truck has to offer that you can really do without.  I'm willing to bet the KR does everything you need it to do and then some, with no monthly payment! Imagine how many light bars you can buy in the future for the amount of a new monthly payment.

If it helps I just passed a 6.7 this morning broken down on the side of the highway being hooked up to a flat bed.

I have to ask, why do you want to buy a new one, to store it ?

There is nothing major wrong ( or at all ) with it, why ditch it to start over again.

Buying a new vehicle to store it does not make sense to me, and considering the work you have done so far; the under side is ready for another 5 years + for how much you drive it now.

Just my opinion on it, then again I am going to turn 100,000 miles this week on my '06.

yeah, you are right Steve and others.  Having some strange signs of issues or paranoia...talked to my wrench again today, he said, "I hate it when people get the Edge Insight, makes customers paranoid"   While that is 100% true.  My little clues are making me nervous.   I ended up calling Innovative to ask if they tune over factory fan command settings, and they don't.   They tune for factory command functions and suggested that I change my alerts.   My splits from oil temp and coolant temp are 5-9 degrees.   The one thing they did suggest is to consider removing the bolt over billet inserts on grill....they said it could lower both.....if that is the case, you guys know what I am going to do right?  Yup, going to remove them and install a 20 SR light bar....(yes I know separate OCD issue)

I had this fear that my degas was puking....I was low on coolant, I refilled and changed filter...(Which had lots of rust in it)   so full disclosure, that is why i am in a slight freak out.

I drove the truck today, I freaking love it...argh....what the flock is wrong with me?

Get rid of that damn thing and be happy driving it .

Over at F150OL, there are a few that do the same thing, worry that this value is 2* higher.
- I don't take the time to finish reading the post, let alone reply.  Next thread...

If your degas does hack up a hairball, does it cost $ 50K to repair it ?
- That is what you are doing by selling this one, purchasing new and setting it up how you need it ( and then how you want it ).

Final gloss polish it this summer, 2 coats of OC 2.0 and enjoy it.

If you have that kind of money burring a hole in your pocket, buy a Sky Dweller  :redneck:
