LSP, hand applicators, and material
« on: September 08, 2008, 01:42:27 PM »
I've heard ya'll talk about using foam hand applicators to apply the LSP.  I've been using MF hand applicators and had good results.  I was curious since it's seem to me that foam would be tougher on your just prepped surface than a soft MF would be.

Pro's and Con's?

I think they both can be harsh on a newly corrected finish.  I have been using Foam, been buying them in the 4 packs from Wash Solutions, I do soak them and air dry them but I worry about that too.

This is a good place for the pro's to jump in and help us...

I always use foam to apply lsp's.  In my opinion, the product will go further with the foam.  Terry and microfiber applicators tend to soak up more product.

I don't think the foam is any tougher on the surface than a microfiber would be.  I actually use the same type of foam applicator that I use to finish off with paint with a buffer.

I'm no pro, but I use foam for LSP application.

Same here, Especially with #16.... microfiber applicator was all kinds of bad with this product, foam works great. I have a variety of microfiber ones but never have cared for them personally....
