Photography thread
« on: March 14, 2013, 08:39:22 AM »
I know there a quite a few novice shutter bugs on here and some not so novice shutter bugs that like to take non-detailing oriented pictures but have no where to really show them off.

I got the idea from "The other site" and the Photography thread in the general discussion forum.

Here are few of my most recent pictures.

I picked up a Nikon D80 some years back and just couldn't get the hang of a DSLR so I kind of just gave up.  I'm so envious of people that are good photographers.

I definitely in the "super-novice" category, but here are a few of my fave's shot with my Nikon D40 with the plain jain 18-55mm that comes with it.

This one is a little busy and the shadows bother me, but it's just so gorgeous.

Sorry it's pretty much all the same scenery. I really like some funky urban shooting too, but can't find any.

These are a bit over exposed but still cool.

These were taken from a Pontoon Boat on Lake Superior and let just say waves plus a telephoto lens are not a good combination.

I took this one in the parking lot at work and I should have had my DSLR instead of my little point and shoot this morning. I took quite a few pictures but this one is the only one that turned out.

Nice Pic! The moon looked so nice last night. Wish I had thought to take a pic.

Nice pics. Too bad there weren't any winning snards in them!  :redneck:

Here are a couple I took at Heather's place yesterday and this really didn't help my urge to get out of town and into the country. I stood on her back porch for a half hour taking the sunset pictures and not one car drove by during that time.

Thank's Mike, that one made crawling out of a nice warm bed at 4am worth it this morning.

Beautiful sunset JP, it's been awhile since I've seen a Gulf sunset.
