Jeep Rubicon Bumber scratched
« on: October 28, 2012, 05:37:38 PM »
Guys

Buddy of mine has a buddy who's wife scratched the black bumper with a stroller...I was sent to photos, its not painted but it is visible.

Any fixes for that besides Linex?

What's the bumper made out of and finished with?

Stock bare black plastic.

When you say it is visible, do you mean you have another color under it ( like the gray plastic material ) ?

Dumb question, but are you sure it is not painted ?

It would not be out of the question, but casting the plastic bumper in the color of each vehicle gets a bit expensive.  If it was cast in all black plastic, you would just have a scratch in the plastic, which would have the same color under it.

I haven't seen in it person, was sent 2 photos via facebook and its black plastic that is scratched.   I will try to see it this week and post my own photos.

could be painted, or could be plastic that is stressed from the damage.
