Since the purchase of the Edge, I decided that we didn't need the Mazda anymore. It ended up going to my friends little sister back home and they flew out on the weekend to drive it back. I figured I  could clean up the bumper a little bit before they came to pick it up.

The damage was caused by me running over the wash bucket while washing the car.  The paint chipped and peeled right off the painted plastic bumper. I always want to clean it up, but never got around to it.

Here is the before:


After sanding with 400 Grit Sandpaper:


After paint and clear coat:


I let the paint cure for a week and then wet-sanded with 2000 grit to better blend it in and then polished with 105 followed by 205:


Overall it turned out pretty good, You can see that the blacks are not the exact same color, but it blends in decent and isn't in a very noticeable spot.

It's also a used car with a "Rebuilt" title.
