Hurry up and wait...
« on: March 15, 2012, 03:12:09 PM »
Well, I placed my first order(s) last night. Now for the waiting game.

Ordered:
5" LC flex backing plate - obsessive detail
6 - 5.5" LC pads - ADS
2 - 25"x36" drying MFs - obsessive detail
Qt of Meg's HD - ADS
Meg's QD - ADS

I already have a PC 7336, bunch of MF's, clay, APC, wash, mitts, buckets, brushes & various Meg's product.

why only a qt of HD?

I usually buy that buy the gallon, once you start mixing it, you may want a few bottles laying around with different ratios.  just something to think about.

great purchases.
Thanks for visiting the Cafe, come back often.  There's always something new!

After reading about it for years at F150OL and even seeing the results, I've never used it so I went w/ the 32oz bottle to check it out (I already have a few new empty spray bottles waiting for it).  I mainly used the common stuff at the autoparts store. Usually Black Magic Tire Wet.

You have to remember, not only does JP HD his extension cords (among other things), but he mixes it with Bourbon too.  :redneck:

This is a good mix to have.

That green one, the day you need it is the day you will be kicking yourself for not having it.

Just leave it sealed in the plastic, just in case.

I just got a few of the 7.5" LC VC pads, and I got 2 green ones, just in case.  I should not need them, but you never can tell.
I have not replaced the yellow one I had when it hit the floor.  I got the Opti MF cutting pads instead.

x2, but I think I over use HD. Everytime I use it on a full detail I go overboard and get overspray all over my clean vehicle. Hey you can't get thorough engine bay covering with a applicator pad.

My stuff from ADS came today (w00t) but then I checked the stuff I had in the garage and noticed most of it was bad. It had been sitting in front of a window in the garage and even the bottles had faded. LoL.

So I did some checking around tonight and found Advanced Auto Parts carries quite a bit of Meg's locally. So I ordered up some M105 32oz, M205 32oz, M26 16oz, Gold Class car wash and a couple other things.

They have a 15% off special running if you pay online, you can pick it up in a store or have it shipped to your house. So hopefully when I wake up, they'll have it ready to be picked up. The 4 Meg's products alone came out to 7 cents (LOL) cheaper than ADS after including local tax on one and shipping on the other plus I get them right away. The other stuff I bought was to get the total to hit $100 so I'll get a $50 online coupon towards my next $100 online purchase and still get to pick it up within an hour of ordering - as long as the store is open and it's not midnight.  :dope:

I guess the only thing I need to be careful with, is to check to see if the product hasn't been sitting on the shelf for a while and that it's the DA stuff.  :dunno:
