That would work out perfect for me.

I drove a new Dodge this morning and liked it. Really liked the deal until they told me what they would give me for my truck. Very insulting. 20k.

After lunch I drove a 2001 F350 7.3l. Felt underpowered for what I'll be asking it to do and LOUD. Can't imagine it could think about holding OD and at 65mph with OD locked out the noise would get old real fast.

Looks like I'll be waiting until Ford offers 0%.

0% will be here before you know it...Ford is officially done with the 2011, they are not building any more...in prep for 12.

Well, 0% finally hit for us. I'll pick up my new 2011 F350 Lariat dually on Tuesday. That new 6.7Powerstroke is a beast, and gets great mileage. Should make a huge difference towing.

Thanks for all the help. I'll post pics when I get it home.

Awesome.  You're lucky.  Boss informed me he ordered me a new work truck.  Dodge 4500.  I'm not thrilled about it but it's better than the 2007 Dodge 2500 we have now.  What a joke that thing is.

Look at the bright side. The new one still has pretty much exactly the same transmission in it!

Supposedly not.  Boss said it has a heavier duty transmission in the new one.  And an engine brake.

My dad has a 2004.5 5.9 (one of the last untouched emission versions).  He was getting 13-14 pulling out heavy 1990 27' Terry Resort (wood frame).  Dodge all the way for the Cummins even better in 2wd from what he says on his forum.  The front end on the 4x4's tends to be the weak link and the Tranny's don't like tuners and such.  I've driven it and I like it.  IMO, people expect too much from the trucks.  That engine is a work horse and a damn good one
