Hood shocks replace hood prop
« on: May 08, 2011, 07:30:58 PM »
Installed the hood shocks I got for Christmas.  Yeah they sat around for a while.  I tend to put things off.  This could go in the detail gallery section as well seeing as I cleaned up the engine quick too.  I couldn't take pictures of the hood shocks with a dirty engine.

For what it's worth, I wiped everything down that I could with PBs Spray and Wipe.  Dressed everything I could with Trim Restorer and the places I couldn't really get my hand in I used Meguiars Hyper Dressing.  Also, the car is wearing Black Hole and Liquid Natty's Blue.

Looking good man.  I REALLY like the look of that car.  I need to clean my engine as well...I've never cleaned it.

Excellent!  I like that last pic.

I have an engine to clean now in the Lightning.  That will be an all day job....... :hp:

Remember to be really careful under there. None of my Ford trucks have liked much water as part of the process. Take your time and you'll be fine though. Be prepared for lots of skinned knuckles though.

You don't have the hood prop rod in the way.  Looks "cleaner" I guess.

It does look cleaner.  Also I hate hood props.  They just annoy me.  And, after about a 1/3 of the way open, the hood opens itself.
