I was going to order one back around Christmas time, but out of curiosity, what is the cause of the high shipping cost?  I've seen other places with a shipping price of around $6.

We ship with the Post Office they were the cheapest we found the box is 22 x 22 x 1 and is  considered oversized.

Yeah.  Not much vendors can do about it.  It does come in a unique boxkust as he describes.  As thin as it is, it probably takes up truck room with its other proportions because of it being awkward.
