Navigation coming
« on: August 07, 2008, 05:25:57 PM »
I bought a Pioneer D3 on ebay and had a question or two. Where should I mound the antenna and the ipod cable? I sort of want the ipod cable in the center counsel but I don't know how to get it there.

I forget what truck you have, cufootn...   what do you have?

As for the antenna mount, I assume you mean the GPS?  If so, I have mine mounted immediately adjacent to the interior a-pillar on the drivers' side.  Unless I point it out to people, no one EVER notices it....

do you have the pass through console?

My GPS antenna is mounted on a metal frame directly under the plastic tray on the dash.  works great, and is totally out of site.

Hmm... there's a metal place to mount it under there, eh?  I may have a weekend project.

Just saw this....

Most aftermarket GPS device ANT's cad be mounted under the dash near the glass.  Its been a day or so and a few drinks since I had an F150 but I think the dash is as open or more than an F250.

Thanks for visiting the Cafe, come back often.  There's always something new!
