Off to a good start. Check out this clay...
« on: December 02, 2010, 03:04:22 PM »
Friend of mine just bought a used Trans Am. Beautiful car. low mileage bright red WS6. These cars are hard to find unmolested, most have been modified to the point of insanity. This car is a clean example, but needs some attention. My guess is it has had regular wash jobs at the local car wash but never a serious proper detail. I talked my buddy into doing one panel of the car to show him how much potential it has. We started with the spoiler. First step was obviously to wash and clay. Look what we pulled off. Keep in mind, this was from the spoiler only:

After finishing the spoiler he wants me to help him do the whole car this weekend. Gonna be a chore but this thing wil look soooo good when its done. Will post some before/after pictures soon.

And remember, it's going to take more than just clay to make that baby pop. When you do red correctly, it looks like it's dripping wet. We'll expect nothing less from you!

If that is a 4th gen with original paint, then welcome to some of the hardest clear coat known to man.

Looking forward to the pictures.

It is a 4th gen. '01, actually. Not sure if I'll get to attack it this weekend after all but will definately include a pictorial.
