Flex issues
« on: August 16, 2010, 02:41:37 PM »
anyone with a flex have some problems with it speeding up without moving the speed dial?  I ordered one im may and used it for the first time yesterday until it started speeding up and slowing down every minute or so.  just wondering if this is normal or I just got a bad machine that needs to be returned.

interesting, plug a DA in the same outlet and see if it does the same thing to make sure it's not the power source.

Has it never been used before?

never had an issue with either of mine doing that.

I am going to ask the dumb question.  you are keeping the trigger fully depressed the whole time, aren't you?

Or did you use the lock button to "hold" the speed?

It's a good point you bring up Gip, the Flex does have a spin up spin down throttle.  So maybe the button is just sensitive on his Flex.

That is odd, if they are gonna return it, take it...start over, that is good customer service.

Pakshak.com I order everything through them and since they are in Hawaii then the shipping is $5.  I agree, they are awesome with the service and got a call back from the owner within a few hours of leaving a message.

Yours sounds defective...Never had that or any problem and I have maybe 100 trouble free hours of use.
If not for the pad size limit I wouldnt use my DA at all.
You can make money or you can make excuses but you can't do both.
