Pretty easy little mod.   Not loud at all...can hear the turbo a little more and best of all, lower EGT's.

Will see if I can get some audio and post it to youtube on Sunday.

Nice RollingRock, I put a turbo back exhaust kit on about a month ago and I noticed the truck breathes so much better with out a muffler or cat on the truck.

OK, so the resident / site engineer has to ask: Any difference in performance?

Well, I only have 3 miles on it thus far, but from what I can tell you others say, removing the cat will allow more flow but you will also here a tad more turbo, that openness will allow the turbo to spool quicker and I did notice the turbo did have less back pressure...mainly for me it will be about moving temps...lowering EGT's by 50 to 100 degrees is a good thing.   I should also see a mild bump in mpgs'

Gonna go drive it in a few to hear it more.

RR, you should yank the muffler off just for grins and go for a drive. I can almost bet you it wont go back on when you get home. :redneck:

Grey, I would love to however, my goal was to remove some restrictions yet keeping the noise down. I love the sound of the turbo back but if momma ain't happy, you know the drill.

I got to do this mod under the radar.

I know all to well what you are talking about but my wife actually likes the sound of it until it gets over 2500 RPM and starts sounding pretty snappy like a glass pack. I may put a muffler on it to get rid of the snap and drone if it gets to annoying but so far it tolerable and only really drones when I have the 5er on the truck.

Sweet!

OK, I've got to ask. How do you get in the right (passenger) side of the truck and do that?

Tom...what do you mean?  All I did was stand on the KR "Nerf" bar and turn the key.
