looks like the pakshack has more pile to it.

However, the new SM MF looks thicker than both of them combined.  lol

What do you think of the two?

The PakShak MF is the UltraPlush and has a tiny bit more pile on the "plush" side. I'd say that their standard plush and the SM Awesome are probably identical.

Here's a couple more for comparison.

SM Soft Edge Premium

SM Fluffinator

DF towel

And the wimpy by comparison Megs Supreme Shine

Nice post... I need new towels (then again, I could go landfill diving for all of Gipraw's towels if I really wanted them badly enough.)

I'm getting ready to make the step up from the Meguiars microfibers and I'm wondering what everyone thinks of these two towels as they are the two I pretty much narrowed it down to. I have a pakshak towel that they threw in on a order I made with them. I really like it super soft with plenty of nap a world of difference from the rest of my towels. The SM soft edge towel looks the same as the pakshak towel from the best I can tell on the web.

If you want good towels for RETARDEDLY cheap, I would suggest buying the 100 pack from ADS. I use them on paint and they have NEVER left marring or scratching. They work on glass as well, and are less than a buck a piece when you buy 100.

eShine  :can: has some ultra plush towels that I believe are called "cookie monster" and they are pretty cheap for what they are.

I was surprised at just how nice the premium MFs from ADS really are.  I needed some for interior and wheels and such so I picked up the 100 bulk pack.  I was pleasantly surprised.  I do have plenty of other towels, many from pakshak, that are better though so my ADS towels are still used for their intended purpose.  I did get a free Meguiars Ultimate Wipe and I don't really like it.  I'm finally happy with the amount of towels I have and it seems like everyone is sending me free ones with my orders.  Haha.  Hey I still appreciate it.  Can you really ever have too many?  I don't think so.

The ADS towels are pretty good I'm starting to have a nice collection of them from a couple getting thrown in with every order. I have used them a few times for removal and quick detailing and they seem to work OK. They don't compare to good to the pakshak towel I have, but they are a whole lot cheaper to!!

I think I'm gonna go ahead and order a 12 pack of the soft edge detailing towels and fluffinator from SM on Monday.
