Mixing LSP Compounds Together
« on: September 25, 2009, 10:49:04 PM »
Originally I used NXT as a polywax after sealants, and glazes and before any waxes.  Now im not so sure this is such a good idea since I have heard it also has mild cleaners.  Will NXT 2.0 on application remove Poli-Seal or Opti-Seal?  What about a Glaze like Obsessive Detail Wet Shine Acrylic Glaze?
Is the Glaze going to remove Poli-Seal since it claims light cleaning?
Will any of these products remove Optimum Car Wax with it's 5 month claim?

Since I heard NXT has some cleaning properties where does it fit in with these products?

Most of my experience is with Black paint and problems or success seems to quickly show but I notice all these products seem to play well and easy together and it's hard to see what works better.
I just don't want to waste effort.

Any thoughts, ideas or observations?

My Wet Glaze no longer has cleaners in it, it is a pure glaze that will add depth and wetness to the paint. This has been like this for a little over a year now.  You can put it over waxes and sealants without worrying about stripping them off.

It really does add more depth and black to black than anything else I have ever used.  You need to fix the label on the Wet Glaze because unless I got an old bottle last summer it still says it has "supra light cleaners to remove light marks and ultra-fine scratches."

I use it in the place of Poli-Seal between full details but I will try using it after because side by side the black is definitely blacker than Poli-Seal alone but PS seems to polish better?

Poli Seal is going to correct light swirls and scratches plus it brings out more shine and reflection.  Wet Glaze adds more depth and wetness, it is basically a looks enhancer.

Try this combo on black, very impressive results:
Poli-Seal
Wet Glaze
OCW
Opti-Seal
then finish it all off with some Optimum Instant Detailer the next day   :wow:
