Niiiiiice.   There is a local welding company where I live that ALWAYS has spotless trucks.  I know the guy and he has a guy on payroll who's entire job is to hand polish every single piece of metal, diamond plate, etc. on every one of their welding rigs.  Nice to see a clean truck working!

yep its good to see them working! I will say that I had to go and get someone unstuck the other day, I will post pics its something right out of a horror film. I spent $35 at the local power wash and still have not gotten all the mud off of the undercarriage.  Tonight once I get my truck back from getting the brake recall taken care of I will be taking a creeper back there with me and getting a little dirty but it is driving me insane. The pics will be up as soon as a new cable for my camera can be purchase....     :smack:

OK, so I have to ask. What step in the detailing process required a mini excavator? Is that what you use to power the plastic razor blades to remove baked on road tar? Geez, and I thought moving up to a Flex was my next big step! I may have to reconsider.

LOL @ 2stroked.  HAHA!  The mini-excavator was pretty tough.  Remember, this is a piece of rental equipment and thus, it's been treated worse than a red-headed step child.  LOL!

Really, on that one, I just used WD40.  Seemed to really bead the water up and offer a long-lasting durable finish.  I'd highly recommend WD40, Crisco, or any other vegetable or toluene-based substance as wax.  :)   :mooner:

I am still waiting to get my camera back from my girlfriend who took it on vacation with her, but I to have some pics of my truck completely covered in mud. I had to pull a buddy out. But either way I have never seen a truck look so "clean" while getting muddy. Your truck looks great event while its getting dirty!

RP,

Now that we've verified that you actually detailed that excavator, when would you like me to drop off the manure spreader that the farmer down the road has that's been driving me nuts? I'm sure all it needs is a bit of your special touch!

LOL!  I think you'll do just fine with that one on your own!  :)  I've seen the work that you're turning out and it's really good!  :)
