Maybe better material since it's a heavier truck?

Brakes aren't hard to do. Hell, I think trying to understand all the intricacies of detailing is harder!  :wow: Just don't FORGET the loctite!

Do the wagners help with stopping power? or are they just less dusty?

A soft pad stops quicker, which produces more dust.

A hard pad takes a little longer to stop, but produces less dust.

There's a comprise between brake dust and braking power.

And Z you're pads are hard. They're freaking huge compared to 1/2 ton pads. And some people use their exhaust brakes whenever possible and that makes them last even longer.

I don't use loctite. You can use loctite on the caliper bracket if it makes you feel better (and you'll have a @#$@$ of a time getting it off next time), but don't forget the caliper grease. Grease the slide pins and where the pads sit on the caliper bracket.

I also have the Wagner Thermo Quiet but opted for the ceramic on my 05 screw and they still dust. Not a lot but still have to clean them every few days.

Are the Wagner Thermo Quiets ceramic?

I was actually just at Advance today and bought Friction Master ceramics for the rear of my F150. I've had a set on the front for about 10K now and have been happy with them - not much dust at all.

Some people have said the Wagner Thermo quiet semi metallic dust less then the ceramics. Of course I found that out after I bought the ceramics and installed them. Anything is better then stock.

I hate all the dusting that they do its unbelievable!!  good thing the wheel sealant doesn't let it stick and it comes off right with soapy water lol

The wife's Cadillac is horrible!  I just bought some Hawk Performance Ceramic.  Just need to paint calipers and swap them out.
You're only here for a little while, do it while you can.
