Safe D-greaser vs APC+
« on: June 29, 2009, 01:26:17 AM »
Apparently they stopped making safe d-greaser, after I bought it. Anyway it's been awhile since I have detailed.

What would be more effective to use on wheel wells and engine bays? Both mixed at 4:1.

What about on the back of wheels, helping to remove thick brake dust? also 4:1 ratio.

Knowing that it will be dripping on to the clear coated wheel for atleast 15 mins while I'm scrubbing the back side. I keep the clear coated portion wet with water, but still run the risk of putting milky drips down the wheels.

Hey, man... good to see you posting...

There are a few chemicals that you can consider for the tasks that you've described.  My first choice would be the APC+.  It's just super versatile and can be used for so many things -- inside and out.

A second chemical is Simple Green.  Again though, go with some serious dilution; not straight chemical.

If you're totally addicted to Safe DG, I think it can still be had at a few very select places...

I ended up using safe D. I already had some from a couple years ago. Figured I'd use it up. But I do have some apc+ in the closet too.

I want to say, Apc+ seemed to cut the stained-ness on the wheel wells better.
