Better on Red that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Or are they pretty much all the same?

Natty's Red or Blue look great on red as well as many other colors and are not expensive at all  ... 8oz Natty's blue $19.95 ... Red $21.95  ... even cheaper through some distributors with forum discounts

Meguiars NXT looks good on rich colors...$10-$15 at any auto retail.
Cheap and easy...

There are lots of great waxes out there. Natty's red is fantastic, so is Wet Obsession, Megs 26, Megs 16 etc, many more .....

I think its really hard for the untrained eye to see much difference in wax, I am a firm beleiver in the proper prep is more important.  What you do before LSP.

That being said, I think that the more durable LSP's lack the pop as some other products.

I couldn't have said it any better...

Boss429 taught me (as he's taught a bunch of us), it's not so much the final product that is used but rather all of the work (prep) building up to applying the final product.  Any Joe Schmo can smack on a coat of wax but, it takes a true enthusiast to go through the steps necessary to ensure a killer finish.

That said... of the choices, options, and types of waxes that have been tossed down on the table... on Red, my favorite is Meg's #16 or 3M Perfect-It -- both are old school solvent-based paste waxes that *really* pop and add wet depth.

Jeff

If you where to see a Buck Kitchen knife set laying around and it found its way to my house, I could arrange for a tin of Megs 16 to ship back....

Did I tell you that I bought a set of "specials" at Cableas!!  They are my new fav hunting knives!!

I'll take RR's single tin of #16 and raise it two... that's right... a total of THREE tins.  :)

Thanks guys.. I'm trying to get my head around the prep aspect. I didn't do any detailing study over the winter as I'm a 'Just-In-Time" information type of guy... and right now I'm suffering from paralysis by analysis!  :drunk:

I use NXT 2.0 topped by Megs GC right now. Currently I'm trying to digest light scratch removal options between 105/205/scratchx 2.

you all always make my head spin with this stuff...

and RR that would be a lot of #16 lol.. however I love to trade, so... door is wide open there, I have a whole list of detailing stuff I need!  :danger:

Did you buy the Alaskan guide series? Those are fantastic with the S30V steel..  :flag:

I bought the Buck 119 Special, the big one and the smaller cousin one.  They are great!

As for trades, I have tons of stuff we could trade for.  :)

plenty to go around RP ...

RR was it the ones with the black blade and AGS logo or just the plain steel version? we also have a new line of Ergonimic hunters that Cabela's has not loaded in their stores yet.   All made in the US
