how much is too much?
« on: May 12, 2009, 01:10:18 PM »
Ok, so i was wondering how much is too much when it comes to claying your paint.  With all of my hobbies, my truck see's a lot of rough conditions.  with my hunting, 4-wheeling, kayaking, and well pretty much anything else you can do outside, my truck see's a lot of gravel roads, pastures, timber lanes, things like that.  so, as you can imagine, i get a lot of embeded crap in my paint.  So, my question is, how much is too much claying?  I could literally clay my truck everytime i wax it, which is currently about once a month when the weather is appropriate.

so, what do the experts say?  Can you clay too much, and if so, how much is too much......??

depending on the conditions you encounter, once or twice a year should be sufficient ... if you work or live near railroads or industrial fall out areas, then you will need to do it more often
life is short ..do it while you can

I personally don't see how claying could screw anything up. I clay/alcohol my personal truck whenever i'm trying new waxes. Usually once a month if not more
