Title: Mf or terry cloth?
Post by: texbigred1 on March 14, 2009, 01:55:19 PM
I see every one talking about mf towels and wondered why the were beter than the old terry cloth towels
I have used the 100% terry cloth forever and just bought some mf towels to try and to me they work just as well at removing the LSP's.. What is the Major reason to use (or your honest opinions) mf towels over the terry cloth?

They are softer and less likely to micro mar the clear after you have spent hours correcting the paint. Most on here will say that terry cloth towels have some amount of cut to them allowing them to easily mar the clear.

Edit: I like the micro fiber towels because they dont seem to load up with product the way terry cloth does.

Microfiber is the only way to go!  Terry towels will leave micro scratches on the paint, they don't trap dirt as well as microfibers and microfibers are a lot softer.  Also, microfibers don't lint.

As already stated MF seems to wipe and shine better and is less likely to re-scratch polished surfaces.  They also are superior when you are using waterless wash products but....
I hate what happens when you drop them on the ground.  Leaves, twigs and sticks are impossible to remove.  It's almost like dropping a clay bar.(http://olddogg.homestead.com/F150/mumumani.gif)

I throw them over my shoulder and they stick to my shirt kinda like velcro.
