Well... My truck is dead.
My step-dad drove it to my wedding with a Keg in the back. I got married in Acton, TX (which is in the boonies.) Lots of curvy roads. He didn't strap the keg down very well. Took a curve a little quickly, and the keg moved. So he decided to turn around and see what the deal was - and take the steering wheel with his eyes.
Flipped it in the ditch. Busted the rear axle, caved the roof and the front end is all sorts of torn up. I don't have any pictures because I haven't been to see it yet other than after the wedding (was a little busy.)
Anyway, take a moment of silence for my truck if you would. Here's a good picture to remember it by.

Sorry to hear about the truck, but congrats on the marriage!

that sucks .. sorry to hear it ..

Sorry to hear about the truck, but at least you survived getting married. As you know, I have a soft spot for regular cab / short box 4x4's. Hopefully your insurance company will notice what fine shape it was in before the keg. By the way, is your step-dad OK?
-
I have plenty of good "before" pictures with dates, so that's good. Hopefully I come out close to even. Luckily it was his insurance - I don't need any more incidents.
He made it out without a scratch. Gotta give it to Ford for making a tough truck.

sorry about the news...I am a little confused how it happened but none the less that sucks.

I'm sure it can be buffed out. Have you tried #105 yet. Amazing product. :hs: <--Maybe this little guy can help. Look at him go.
Congrats on the wedding.

Well, he was going about 10 over in an area where you should be going about 10 under. When the keg tipped, he looked back and somehow turned the wheel in the direction of where he decided to look, which happened to be a ditch.
Not the smartest move, but he's ok, so that's good.
-
Sorry to hear about the truck, but glad to hear he made it out OK. We all have our moments of not being so smart sometimes.

That sucks about your truck. Glad your dads okay
Did the keg at least make it? :hammer:

We had lots of home-made wine so it wasn't all bad.
You never met my dad, JP. He was 140 lbs when he died and ate like fat albert.

I know someone who is trying to sell an f150 :) It looks like someone is going to be buying my mercedes this week! If I can sell the truck too then I am going to get either a duramax or a denali and probably an f-body with a 6-spd and high miles and stroke it to 408 and build it! Or I could just put that money towards paying off my house but thats no fun!

ha i've been extremely lucky. I'm workin for my uncle full time so I am making a good amount there. If crude goes down anymore I am def buying into it without a doubt, i'll take all the money from the car and throw it in there! I use my disability check to pay my mortgage and still have enough left over for groceries and bills and what not. And I get to collect rent checks from my 2 other room mates which is always fun! I bought a mercedes a while back, I'm not sure if I told you, from a neighbor down the street. It's and 03 cl600 bi-turbo with 24xxx miles on it. She never drives it and said she would sell it for 20! I ran to the bank and got a loan haha. That car brings over 30 on ebay on a regular basis so it was basically an investment that I was going to play with for a while! I'll throw you some money RR

No truck in my near future. I'd love a 2fity. Actually found a sweet 97 I wanted but the boss said no for now. She needs a new car soon, so I'm stuck with my project that I hope to get rolling in the next week or so.

J, with all your money, you could always buy me that 2fity for detailing your truck next weekend. :NW:
edit: Forgot to mention. Insurance paid all but $300 of the loan, so that's not a bad thing. Lost my 20s though. Snagged my Optima.
