Title: Daughter is learning
Post by: Rollingrock on August 29, 2021, 07:39:46 PM
So,   Taught my daughter the ways of The Force.     She now knows how to properly wash and so a mini detail.     When the temps get below 80 we are gonna show her how to clay and polish.

ah snap I didn't say what the process was...how dare me.

Wheels and Wells,   Optimum. APC, using soft brush stiff brush
PB Bug Squash on hood, glass and mirror.
Optimum Soap using Glimore Foam thingie
Finished with Hyper Dressing on wheels and wells and black plastic
Stoners on the wheels and glass

Clayed Drivers QTR panel and topped with Justins Wet Obsession as a temp fix until we clay and polish out the whole car.

Looks good!  Teach em right so they can appreciate all the hard work that goes in to it.  What’s with the temporary fix or did I just miss that?  By the way I always really liked wet obsession.  Very underrated.

How do you dilute pb bug squash?  If I recall, it’s 3 to 1 but I feel like my truck is hurting so bad it’s needs to be used straight.  My truck just needs work period but never mind that.

The temp fix was showing her the difference of clayed and non clayed....in a small section.  So that being said, I have 3-4 weeks to knock this whole car out.

As for PB BS, i good full out...no cutting or mixing.   It's Texas...we don't have bugs, we have state bird type bugs....you need all the Horsepower you can get to remove that chit.

My daughter, said several times, and keep in mind we did this quickly by my standards bc I was trying to talk and explain why etc....she said, "Dad, I had no idea it was this invloved and that there are so many steps and things to consider".   Yeah, life just got real for her.  She was trying to cut corners and go fast, I had to show her, what happens.  She missed 3 spots on the passenger door...I was like, See?   This is why they call it a mini detail and not a wash.

Continue to teach her the ways, then I'll be down to have her work on my stuff.  :funny:

Get in line.  You have nothing but time to work on your own stuff.  I’d be shunned if any of you saw my ride.

Great stuff! That's what I Dad did with me, even on my POS "K" car that we bought for $400 :redneck:
