Title: Spin Dryer
Post by: Rollingrock on November 24, 2019, 11:50:40 PM
I got to thinking....thought this would be very handy when drying cars/trucks.

Anyone have one of these type products?

That doesn’t seem like a bad idea at all.

Recently, I’ve been using my M18 Milwaukee leaf blower and then following up with a waffle weave MF and ONR at QD ratio.  I only have to use one MF this way.

what is the ratio of ONR for QD?   I lost that data somewhere, never used it like that, I use Megs #34 but damn it is expensive.

Basically 50:1. I mix a little lighter than they recommend for clay lube.

I have ONR as a QD bottle marked as a ratio of 2 oz ONR to 32 Oz water ( 1:16)...

0.5 oz per 32oz is the ratio for clay lube ( 2 oz per gal or 1:64 )

Using ONR as a No Rinse wash Wash is 1 oz per gal of water ( 1:128)

I checked the Pro-Blend on my ONR bottle and it is set at 2 oz which works for my ONR buckets ( 3 gal bucket with a 2 gal mark ) and my bottle.

:dunno:

Keep in mind it is recommended to use distilled water with ONR when used as a QD ( and clay lube ).
If you are using tap water you will need to adjust the ratio down to account for QNR bonding to the minerals in the water.  The harder the water the lower the ratio will need to be.

FI #34 costing 25.00 /gal and you are going to say it is expensive ?
You can buy at least 15 gals of FI #34 for what the mailbox incident cost you, let alone how much you spend on DEF per year...
- Milk was a bad idea ???

I would think using it as clay lube and QD, would be pretty close in ratio.

Good to know. I honestly just throw a splash in my bottle and top it up with water.

You also have to take into account what your water is; hardness wise.
Try using the 1:64 ratio with distilled water and you will see what it should be like for clay lube.  It feels slimy and slick.

I use city tap water and a little over 1 oz for what our water is like to make clay lube ( or the clay towels ).
- when I use the 6" clay pads I stick with 1:16 ratio.
