why does ONR scare you ?
If it is used correctly, it is safe.
Dust / dry rain spots only.

My brain knows this. My heart doesn't believe it. It's just one of those things that doesn't seem right even though you know it's fine.

I have the same problem - I know that I can and should use ONR, it just makes me nervous. I have a car that we use primarily for traveling that we don't otherwise drive very often so it isn't often dirty, just typical garage dust. I hate taking the time to give it a full wash - especially because it is quite large - when I'm only cleaning off dust. One of these days maybe I will give it a try. Although I might wait until right before I see Tom so that if I screw it up, he can help me with the paint correction! :funny:

Actually, those vids were very helpful. I may give it a whirl and see what happens. What ratio do you use for the ONR bucket? As set forth on the container or do you add a bit more ONR?

using a 5 gal bucket I put in about 1-2 ounces of ONR. Bucket about half full, don't need a lot of water. If you are using the smaller ONR bottle, they say to use 1-2 caps fulls. I would still use 2 bucket method. The Lake Country Grout sponges are also great for this.
I only buy it by the gallon so I just dump some in until it looks like it is enough.

I'm a little different than JP.
I use 1 oz per gal for the solution. I have a 3 gal bucket with a 2 gal mark and use a pro blend bottle cap on it set at 2 oz so the bucket is the same every time.
They come in quart and gal thread sizes.

Before I do a section I use ONR at QD ratio. 2 oz ONR : 30 Oz water in a quart bottle with a double mist spray head on it.
- Get it in the Agri-Pro brand not the auto detailing branded version. 50% less for the same head. I learned this the hard way.

I spray down the panel I am going to clean with the QD ratio, then get my LC blue Grout sponge and clean that section ( EG: half the hood ). I only do from the rocker panel up with the blue grout sponge.
I use a regular drying towel to dry the section.
Once I have everything from the rocker panels up done, I use an aqua sponge to do the rocker panels last. These get trashed pretty quick and are cheaper than the LC Blue grout sponges.
Anything I pick up down there I don't want on the LC sponge, to worry about getting out on the pail pal wash board in the 2nd bucket. More belt and suspenders than anything else with 2 sponge method.
