Aww what a comfy bed  :slow:

I would have to say they will scratch. Especially a short hair like Pistol.

But you could just as easily shake them out real good and just pick the leftovers off.

I would rewash them

I know our lab with short hair ( American field stock qualification ) is coarse as all get out.
- The Mrs can get them stuck in her foot like a splinter.

Pistol looks like he has shorter hair than Tesla, so I would expect the hair to be able to be used as toothpick.

When you rewash them, take a look to see if any weaved into the MFs.  I know the dog towels can get embedded hairs in them.

I agree, re-wash. I know the pets back home got some dog hair on my MF's, I just washed them. The hair just feels like it could induce some marring.

Only being devil's advocate here, but there are a lot of products out there that use boar's hair :dunno:

Used dry ?

I know I have seen Boar's hair brushes for washing, but they are used wet.
- also they are softer when dry than my Field stock lab.

I use a Boar's hair shave brush, as I trash badger brushes in 6 months.
- Badger are more common and do not put up to abuse like Boar

Cow patties scratch?

Not sure.  They do make good frisbees though.
