Finally. 20 x 50. 18' doors at both ends. The floor is stained and sealed.

Ohhh, I get all fluffy just looking at it! I'm thinking it needs something in it though. Maybe a Tacoma, and xB and a 22' go fast boat?
-
There you go. I thought the last place was too small.

Any garage big enough for my vehicle is better than what I have now which is no garage. I use my work shop if I need one but that's a 20 minute drive each way.
That looks great. Love the doors on each end. I wish our shop had that but then I don't think the neighbors would approve of us driving through their yard.
-
20 min drive each way, but you have the cool rec room in addition to the shop.
You and Tom crying a river about driving 20 min to get to a ace shop.
- I am stacked up like cord wood in my garage, I can't detail the back of my truck in the winter, as it is against the back wall ( I can fit cardboard back there, if it is the cheap stuff ).

Very nice. Love the floors.
Where is the shop? I'm gonna be relocating to somewhere in the Houston area in July and would love to come visit.

Nice digs, I bet you are looking forward to getting into that place!

Let me know when you get here.. I will buy you a beer and give you a tour. The shop is located about 2 miles east of 249 on Spring Cypress Rd in NW Houston

I have a big floor one, remember?
I am seriously thinking about adding a loft for storage and hanging out ..

I'm thinking its going to get hot up in a loft. Real hot. We have an area like that in both shops and they're both hotter than hell.

I have a ridge vent that provides nice flow. Hopefully that will help.

You might need to make a screen for the bottom of the door to get that to work, while you are in there.
Could just be the picture, but the door does not look like there is a lot of air flow around it ( there shouldn't be a lot, else it would leak like a sieve in a good rain ).
I made one up with 1x2's and a 1/4" screen I had for another project. It is in 2 parts with bar flip latches on it ( so it comes out in 2 parts ) that I use in the bottom of the garage door in the summer.
Lets in more airflow than the exhaust port in the door and keeps out the city 'wildlife'.

The doors will be open most of the time when I am there.

I got a little bit done this weekend. I managed to get the lift put back together and the car up in the air.
My wife and son cleaned the front half of the floor for me to get rid of all the construction dust. If you look at the seam you can see the clean side in the foreground and the dirty half is the side the lift is on. I will do the back half this week.
I need to get the shelves installed and all my detailing stuff moved in this week. I have a car to do Saturday.

If you need more room, you could always donate the GTO to me! :Me:
This really does look like you best shop yet. Congratulations!

I already offered a kidney for it. That is the current bid to beat :wow:

Spent the weekend working on a black 2005 GTO. I didn't get a lot done on the shop, but I did decide how I want it arranged after working in it a bit.
I have decided to flip the car to the other wall and put the boxes on the side with the exposed studs.
Moving that big job box was a major pain until it occurred to me to use the car dollies.

Looks like you're making progress! Are you going to set up a CCTV system in this place?

Not sure .. This place is pretty secure, and the individual units are already alarmed. If they are looking to steal stuff.. there are much better units than mine to steal stuff from.

That's what I figured based on your older description of the place. I was just curios if you were going to use those IP camera's you had before.
Should we be looking forward to GTO detail pics??? :funny:

I took some befores, but no afters. I was beat. A buddy of mine came by and did the interior while I worked the exterior .. Still took me almost 7 hours.
Megs 101 and 205 on the whole car, after wet sanding the entire hood.
