Title: Baby Gets New Tires
Post by: Too Stroked on April 07, 2011, 06:43:30 PM
Well guys, after 6 summers, it was time for new summer tires for the 20? American Racing wheels I originally had on my 2005, and now my 2010 F-150. Although the Goodyear Eagle GT II tires that I originally bought were supposedly a perfect match for the OEM diameter, the 285 50 R20?s always looked too small to me. And, since ?stance? is important to me, I wanted to correct that situation this time around.

So, here we have the latest tires on the same old wheels. They?re 305 50 R20 Goodyear Eagle GT II?s. (I got a great price on them through a friend, so why mess with success.) I think they fill up the wheel wells much better and hang out just enough to make it look good. Ride is also somewhat improved since these have a little more sidewall and I have no tire rub issues at all.

When you're done with this truck, I have first dibs, ok? Seriously.. Rims included if you're willing.

I am not even worthy enough to see this post.. I'm closing my eyes now.

Looks great.  I can't led you slide on this though.  I'd be willing to put money on them not being 305/20R20s though.  That would put your sidewall roughly 2/3 that of the ones on my Mustang.  Thinking the two is a little close to the five on the number pad there...

Seriously though, looks great.

Looks Great Tom! those Rims still have one heck of a shine for being that old. Glad you take them off for winter time.

Good catch Mike. They're 305 50 20's. Fat fingers strike again! :dope:

Tony,

I?d love to say it?s yours, but I think my son gets first dibs ? and then only if I decide to croak or something silly like that. Maybe you can keep a picture of it in your foot locker when you?re going through basic training. I?m sure your wife will have some ?advice? on that of course. And then there?s what the other guys will think ?
