Trans is in and truck is running great. Some more break-in testing and then back to WOT.

Great news, man!  Try not to break anything else.  Altho gh, I do enjoy watching the build progress regardless of reason.  Haha

I hope things are good as they are for quite some time now. It wasn’t a cheap fix.

There is a small group of us heading to the drag strip on Friday to see how our trucks do.

Haha.  So more new parts coming?  Can we start a pool?  I'll take driveshaft on the second launch.

Haha I joke too much.  I hope nothing breaks and you have a killer time!

No plans for anything else. The trans took up my lift budget two times over and then some.

It needs a good detailing and winter prep (fresh coating and fluid film underneath”.

Ah, Fluid Film. One of my favorite products for inhibiting corrosion!

Gonna run the truck at the drag strip tomorrow. Do I pull a bunch of weight off and run stock wheels/tires, or leave it as it is?

I vote run it in daily form.

Ran it in daily form. Made three runs and the trans popped again on the third run. The Race track is 3 hrs away and I didn't get home until 7:30am today with the truck on a trailer.

So, quite the bummer and a loooong night.

If I were to guess, the exact same part broke as last time. So, I talked with my motor builder that I bought it through and we are gonna hop on a call with the trans builder to see what they can do. I'll be honest, the truck had some violent wheel hop on the run, and very likely the demise of the trans. After a study of video of the run, the issue seems to be with the front end. It is all over the place. I'm gonna have to see where I have the compression setting on the shocks and they may be due for a rebuild. If I decide to pursue any kind of drag racing in the future, I'm just going to do a set of drag radials as they are pretty cheap in the scheme of things.

I'll post the video up. Best run of the night was 13:43, which is better than any previous run I've done. Previous best was 13:59. The 13:43 was with a really low RPM launch too. I think with a few tweaks (and a new trans), this truck can hit the 12's for sure.

Dude!  W T F!  That sucks!  You weren't lying.  That was violent.  Definitely looked like the front end was moving around a lot.  You can't catch a break.
